We go home and get her SPD pedals to see if that helps. The same thing happens. We look online and it is apparently not unusual, especially on small road bikes. It is called wheel toe overlap and the consensus is that you just have to get used to not pedalling on slow tight corners. We've decided to try some other Bike places tomorrow to see if this always happens.
......... So then I go home to finally try my new Pompino for 20 minutes before it gets dark. I start to turn out of the garage and ... what's that, my foot is hitting the front mudguard. Being a fixed, I can't stop pedalling on the slow turns. Bloody hell, 2 cases of wheel toe overlap in one day. I will try taking the mudguard off, but that kind of defeats the purpose of buying the bike in the first place.
Oh well.
