In the week I found that my ballot for RideLondon had been unsuccessful and I was tempted to let that sap my motivation even more. I was chatting to young bro Noz this morning and for some reason that sparked me to get a charity place and I'm now going to ride for WaterAid. To add to that, I bought the only Sufferfest training video that I don't have (worryingly entitled Rubber Glove) and signed up for the Premium version of Strava. 10 minutes after this spending spree, I went for a fairly easy 20 mile recovery ride after a really tough Turbo session last night.
I'm pleased that I've gone down the charity route - feel free to sponsor me on http://my.wateraidfundraising.org.uk/PersonalPage.aspx?registrationID=456911&langPref=en-CA
I've booked the hotel in London for the night before (the event is on 10th August) and now I need to get some serious miles under my belt.
